Introducing Elevate and Evolve

This week is the official launch of Elevate and Evolve, my leadership development programme for CEO’s, MDs and founders of fast growth and scaling businesses.

It’s been a long time in the making. It started, as so many of these things do, when I spotted a gap that wasn’t being met elsewhere. There’s so much support out there for founders and start ups and some very old school help that exists for established CEOs but for my clients, the rule breakers and risk takers who so often start our coaching conversations with ‘I was never particularly academic, I spent a lot of time smoking behind the bike sheds’ and ‘I didn’t necessarily plan to be here’ there didn’t seem to be anything that fit their needs.

I wanted to create something awesome for those clients as after all, their success becomes my success! I knew that that something needed to create space for the conversations I knew they needed to have. Conversations with people like them who face the same challenges.

I also knew though that talking wasn’t always enough and besides, I’d already created a space for that – have you been to one of my supper clubs yet?

In knowing that gaps in leadership capability form the biggest risk, especially for first time CEOs, I knew that finding a way to help them to close their leadership gaps quickly was going to be the key to making what I was creating awesome.

But I also wanted to fulfil another need I’d observed with the leaders I work with every day. Scaling businesses are invariably X shaped, especially when you have investors and a board. A large number of stakeholders both above and below you can create a very lonely position for the CEO, and that can be extremely isolating when it’s your first time in the role. This can come as a big shock and really shake your confidence.

So I created Third House, a series of group leadership development programmes which met both of these needs. Effective, on point leadership development with a hand picked group of peers to help you develop not just the skills and confidence you need but also a strong and relevant peer group.

Why is it called Third House? Because the third house is the only one the wolf couldn’t blow down, and we all know that there’s plenty of wolves around in business!

 Within third house there are three programmes – Envision and Empower (now available as an online course), Elevate and Evolve (running in Feb 2023) and Accelerate and Engage (running June 2023).

Each individual programme can be attended as a stand alone but they all work together really well too as each is designed to fulfil a different leadership need. 

Elevate and Evolve to meets the needs of first time CEOs, MDs and founder CEOs who need to take the time to pause and reflect on what their business needs from a leader and what their team need from a leader for what’s to come.

The CEOs I work with who are facing an unprecedented amount of complexity and find it really hard to stop for long enough to think about what’s coming down the pipe. Moreover, so many of you feel that you are exposed by the unknowns - after all, you don’t know what they don’t know… which can leaver you feeling like sometimes you’re making it up as they go along!

And almost more importantly, I’ve written it for the CEOs who are at risk of getting bored – bored with the detail, the lack of material progress, the amount of mundanity they weren’t expecting. Because it doesn’t need to be like that if they have a plan to pull themselves out of the detail!

The programme is underpinned by my manifesto for modern leadership which identifies the key leadership needs that every senior leader must learn to prioritise to have the impact they want in today’s complex and fast paced world. Written to have the greatest impact in the smallest amount of time, it draws on the best in neuroscience, behavioural psychology and organisational design.

 Through a series of carefully crafted workshop sessions run over 2 days attendees will step back from the day to day to see their business and leadership through fresh eyes using time tested models to gain clarity, reconnect with purpose and find the confidence and energy to innovate fearlessly.
